Rotary has been working to eradicate polio since 1985, and our goal of ridding the earth of this disease is in sight. We started in 1979 with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines and have now contributed 1,000's of volunteer hours and over $1 Billion to the inoculation of over Two Billion children in every nation. Today, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries where polio remains endemic.
Our Club has been a proud contributor to this initiative for over 35 years.
